Intrafilm Concentrate
Reactive Colloidal Silica Densifier & Finishing Aid
IntraFilm is a reactive colloidal silica finishing aid designed to lubricate freshly placed concrete, facilitating faster and easier finishing. It enhances workability under challenging conditions such as high temperatures, strong winds, or low humidity. The reactive silica component reacts during hydration to produce denser, more durable concrete slabs with reduced maintenance needs.
- Enhances the cream and workability of the concrete without altering the water/cement ratio.
- Lubricates the concrete surface, reducing wear on tools and equipment.
- Maintains workability in hot, humid, dry, or windy conditions.
- Improves impact and abrasion resistance.
- Helps retain moisture within the slab, optimizing curing and minimizing curling and shrinkage.
- Reduces checking, crazing, and scaling.
- Contains extremely low VOC content (<5 g/L).
- Lowers the potential for alkali-silica reaction (ASR).
- Eases finishing of silica fume and air-entrained concrete mixes.
- Minimizes efflorescence and dusting, reducing long-term maintenance.
Application
- IntraFilm should be applied to fresh concrete before the commencement of screeding, floating, or troweling.
- Use a clean, hand-pump, tank-type sprayer with a low-pressure tip for even distribution.
- Mist the IntraFilm lightly over the entire surface, then proceed with concrete finishing techniques.
- Reapply to any areas that begin to dry prematurely.
Mixing Instructions:
- IntraFilm is supplied as a concentrate. Dilute by mixing one part concentrate with four parts clean, potable water.
- Stir or shake vigorously before use to ensure consistency, especially after storage or shipping.
Packaging
Available in 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon pails, and 1-gallon jugs (packaged 4 jugs per case).
Shelf Life
Two years from the date of manufacture when stored in original, tightly sealed containers.
