Re-emulsifiable underlayment primer for SpecFlow
SpecPrime is a ready-to-use, rewettable primer which bonds new concrete and SpecChem underlayments to horizontal concrete or other sound surfaces. Recommended for interior and dry applications only. Specifically designed as a primer for SpecFlow.

Application
- Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove all contaminants such as water, soluble materials, or other foreign substances.
- Application: Apply SpecPrime uniformly at a rate of 100-150 square feet per gallon using a brush, broom, or sprayer. Ensure the surface is coated thoroughly to remain slightly tacky when dry.
- Drying Time: Typically 2-3 hours at 70°F. Ensure good ventilation to avoid delays in drying.
- Reapplication: For very porous surfaces, a second application may be required after 2-3 hours to achieve a continuous film.
Packaging
- Available in 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon pails, and 1-gallon jugs (4 per case).
Shelf Life
- Store in a cool, dry place in the original tightly closed container.
- SpecPrime has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture.
Standards
- Complies with relevant industry standards, including:
- ASTM C1059 – Latex Agents for Bonding Fresh to Hardened Concrete, Type I
- ASTM C932 – Surface-Applied Bonding Compounds for Interior/Exterior Plastering
