The SpecChem mobile application may collect certain information to provide app features, improve performance, and support the user experience. Information collected through the mobile application may include:

  • Location data: Precise or approximate location data, with your permission, to deliver location-specific tools and services such as sales representative lookup, weather information, and VOC compliance support.
  • Device details: Information such as IP address, operating system, browser type, and device-related data.
  • Usage data: Information about screens visited, tap activity, scroll activity, session time, and general app usage.
  • Diagnostic data: Crash logs, error reports, and performance data used to improve app stability and functionality.

The SpecChem mobile application does not automatically collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or contacts.

When you sign up for SpecChem SMS notifications, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Event participation details, such as SpecMasters attendance or other SpecChem-hosted event participation information

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

SpecChem may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, analyze website traffic, understand how visitors use our pages and resources, and improve the user experience. SMS Notifications

If you sign up for SpecChem SMS notifications, we may use your phone number to send event-related messages, schedules, reminders, updates, and other service-related communications. You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Push Notifications

If you grant permission, the SpecChem mobile application may send push notifications to provide feature updates, support content, regional alerts, or other service-related information. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to support app performance, issue monitoring, analytics, and SMS message delivery. These services may include:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase for usage tracking.
  • Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
  • Sentry for bug and performance monitoring.
  • SMS service providers used to transmit text message notifications.

SMS messages are transmitted through third-party providers that are contractually obligated to protect your data. No personal or sensitive data is intentionally shared with third-party analytics or diagnostic services. Each third-party service is responsible for complying with its own privacy standards and policies.

Data Retention

We retain collected data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. You may request deletion of information associated with your app usage or SMS notification participation by contacting us using the information provided below.

The SpecChem mobile application is not intended for children under the age of 13. SpecChem SMS notification services are intended for adult customers, distributors, and event participants and are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

Security

We use physical, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While we take reasonable steps to protect information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of SpecChem digital services, the mobile application, or SMS notification services after updates are posted means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
