Application

SpecWeld serves as a primer/bonding agent for underlayments, plaster, and stucco. It can also be used as a bonding admixture for cement-based mortars and stucco, enhancing their adhesion and durability.

Application Guidelines

  • Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of any contaminants.
  • Application Method: Apply SpecWeld uniformly at a rate of 150-250 square feet per gallon using a brush, broom, or sprayer. Ensure full coverage and brush into the surface for a continuous film. It remains slightly tacky when dry, and any accumulation in low areas should be wiped up.
  • Drying Time: Typically 2-3 hours at 70°F. Adequate ventilation is required to maintain normal drying times; fans may be used to facilitate this.
  • Reapplication: On very porous surfaces, a second application may be necessary. Allow 2-3 hours between applications.

Packaging

  • Available in 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon pails, and 1-gallon jugs (four per case).
