SpecPoxy 3000 FS
Fast-setting ASTM 881 compliant hi-mod, gel viscosity epoxy
SpecPoxy 3000 FS is a two-component, moisture insensitive, high modulus, structural epoxy bonding gel. This product is 100% solids, solvent-free, low odor, high strength, and non-sag, making it ideal for various structural bonding and patching applications.
- Fast-setting with a gel time of only 10 minutes.
- Can be used for both vertical and overhead applications due to its gel/paste viscosity.
- ASTM 881 compliant for high-modulus applications.
- Ideal for environments requiring quick turnaround times.
Application
- Anchoring bolts, dowels, and reinforcing steel.
- Vertical and overhead structural bonding and patching.
- Sealing of cracks and setting of injection ports.
- Applicable to concrete, block, brick, or stone.
- VOC Content = 0 grams per liter, highlighting its environmental safety.
Mixing Instructions
- Mix equal volumes of Part A and Part B for three minutes using a low-speed drill.
- Ensure air, material, and surface temperatures are above 40°F (4°C) before mixing.
Surface Preparation
- Surfaces must be clean, dry, and structurally sound.
- Remove all contaminants by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or hydroblasting.
- Ensure drilled holes are cleaned out with a nylon brush and oil-free compressed air.
Application Techniques
- Bonding: Apply SpecPoxy 3000 FS neatly into the substrate and ensure the glue line does not exceed 1/8”.
- Anchoring: For anchoring applications, prepare the holes and insert the bolts or dowels while the epoxy is still tacky.
Packaging
- Available in 1 gallon units, 2 gallon units, 10 gallon units, and 22 oz. dual cartridges.
Shelf Life
- Store in original, tightly closed containers. Properly stored, the shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture.
