Pave Cure WW-300

High-solids, white pigmented, wax-based concrete curing compound

Pave Cure WW-300 is a high-solids, wax and water-based, white pigmented concrete curing compound that forms a continuous membrane to control curing for strong and durable concrete. This compound, which reflects sunlight to keep concrete surfaces cooler, meets the U.S. EPA’s maximum VOC content limits of 350 g/L for concrete curing compounds. It is ideal for application on exterior horizontal surfaces such as highways, airports, and street paving.

  • Moisture Retention: Reduces plastic shrinkage cracks by effectively retaining moisture.
  • Durability: Enhances the longevity of concrete by ensuring proper curing.
  • Performance: Increases compressive strength and wear resistance.
  • High Reflectivity: Over 65% reflectivity helps reduce surface temperature and heat buildup.
  • Environmental Compliance: VOC compliant, meeting strict environmental standards.

Application

  • Surface Preparation: Apply once the surface water has evaporated and the concrete surface can withstand foot traffic without being damaged.
  • Application Method: Use a manual sprayer, power sprayer, or paving train to apply uniformly at a coverage rate of 200 sq ft per gallon. Ensure no puddling occurs.
  • Curing Time: Fast-drying; the surface is ready for further use in less than 4 hours under appropriate conditions.

Packaging

  • Available in 275-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, and 5-gallon pails.

Shelf Life

  • Store in original tightly closed containers in a cool, dry place to prevent contamination. Avoid excessive heat and freezing. Shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.

Standards

  • ASTM Standards: Meets ASTM C309, Type II, Class A and AASHTO M148, Type II, Class A. Also meets Army Corps of Engineers CRD C300 specifications.
  • Moisture Loss: Demonstrates superior moisture retention with a loss rate of 0.28 kg/m² after 7 days, well below the maximum allowable.

Cleaning

  • Immediately clean tools and equipment with water after use. For more persistent residues, use SpecChem Solvent 100 or another suitable cleaning solvent.
