Greg Maday has been a successful serial entrepreneur for the last two decades. He is currently Chairman, Chief Executive and Owner/Partner of SpecChem, which manufactures construction chemicals for the concrete industry. He has been a leader in the concrete industry as owner of Conspec Marketing and Manufacturing Co., Inc., Burke by Edoco, and Conspec Performance Products, all of which saw nearly a ten fold growth under his ownership.
Maday exhibits a deep passion for sports and relishes his ownership in a Major League Soccer franchise, Sporting KC. Maday’s keen interest in soccer developed only after his children began playing the sport. He then became a fan of the Kansas City Wizards owned by Lamar Hunt. It was only when the team was at risk of leaving Kansas City in 2006 that Maday and his partners acted on an opportunity to purchase the Club and keep soccer in Kansas City.
The St. Joseph, Missouri native is also a partner in Rock Island Capital, a $62,000,000 private equity firm, with offices in Chicago and Kansas City as well as GEM Holdings, LLC., an asset management and investment company. Previously, Maday was owner of Institutional Investors of Mid-America.
Maday received a BS in Business Administration-Finance from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He has completed several post graduate programs including Harvard Business School-YPO; Mentor, Helzberg Mentoring Programs; and Professor for a Day, Trulaske College of Business, University of Missouri. Maday was in the Ingram’s Forty under Forty, Class of 2002.
Maday, and his wife, Elizabeth, are involved in numerous philanthropic efforts. Maday has embraced the opportunity to encourage other potential entrepreneurs by offering his time to various entrepreneurial mentoring programs.
Maday is active in the Village Presbyterian Church in the roles of Deacon, Elder, Trustee, member of the Pastoral Nominating Committee and Vision Committee Chair.
The American Royal (AR), a 110 year old Kansas City tradition, has become a tradition in Maday’s life as well. Not to mention his annual company’s barbeque tent at the AR Barbeque, Maday has been a decades long AR Governor; Co-Chairman of the AR Ambassador Program; Chairman, AR Fall Rowing Classic; Executive Committee 1997-2002, 2004-2008; Secretary 2006; AR Vice Chairman Fall Festival 2005-08, Vice Chair, Strategic Development 2008; Chairman Elect 2009-10 Board of Directors, and will be Chairman of the American Royal Board of Directors in 2010.

Mike worked for Conspec Marketing and Manufacturing Co., Inc. from 1994-1998 before taking on the role as Vice President and General Manager of Burke by Edoco based in Long Beach, CA. Burke by Edoco tripled their revenues during the three year period of 1998-2000. Mike then went on to become the National Sales Manager for all Dayton Superior Chemical brands in 2002.
In 2004, Mike joined White Cap Construction Supply as the Regional Director for the 23 locations in the Greater Midwest portion of the United States. Mike’s core business values were engrained during his run with Conspec and Burke by Edoco. The company strived to work from the customer's perspective back to the enterprise. Customer Service and the ability to find new and innovative ways to partner with distributors were the foundations for organization’s growth. Mike is involved in many industry organizations and has taken part in various industry short course educational seminars.
Mike obtained his B.S. at Kansas State University and went on to receive his M.B.A. at Rockhurst University in the Executive Fellows Program.
Mike, his wife Amie and their three children, Luke, Logan and Livi all reside in the Kansas City area.

Mike LeMark, Executive Vice President and General Manager, earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University in 1979 and began his career in the construction industry as a Field Engineer with Raymond International, a premier specialty geotechnical contractor.
Mike's career has included positions with GE Silicones in field sales, and then Construction Programs in their HQ in Waterford NY. Mike left GE in 1987 to assume a role as Northeast Sales Manager for Conspec Marketing and Manufacturing, developing a distribution network for a full line of concrete chemicals and cementitious products in the northeast.
Mike was then promoted to General Manager of Conspec in Kansas City in 1992. He maintained his managerial position as GM with Conspec thru the Dayton Superior acquisition of Conspec in 2000.
Prior to joining SpecChem, Mike was the Chemical Business Manager for Dayton Superior, involved with the coordination of 4 chemical manufacturing plants, and a team of sales and marketing professionals. This team was responsible for the growth and profitability of 4 major chemical brands within a network of over 800 construction distributors in the US and overseas.
Mike has been an active member in the Construction Specifiers Institute (CSI) earning his CDT and CCPR designation. He's also involved in the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) and the Associated Concrete Contractors Association (ASCC).

John Love is Vice President of Sales at SpecChem. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1992. John has been in the concrete chemical industry for over 25 years.
He began his career with Conspec Marketing and Manufacturing Company, Inc. as a Midwest Regional Sales Manager. This position provided John with experience in all aspects of the chemical business, including technical support, research and development, and quality assurance and quality control. He maintained his regional managerial role with Conspec thru the Dayton Superior acquisition of Conspec in 2000.
In 2003, John was promoted to Senior Regional Sales Manager with responsibilities for chemical sales and marketing throughout the Midwest. The Midwest team consisted of four salesmen, all of whom were responsible for growing sales of four chemical brands.
John has been a member in the Construction Specifiers Institute (CSI) earning his Construction Documents Technician designation. He has also been involved in the Kansas chapter of the American Concrete Institute.

SpecChem’s Regional Sales Manager, Colin Buchanan, was educated in the UK and moved to the United States in 1985 where he started his career with Burke Concrete Accessories as a Territory Sales Rep in Los Angeles.
Colin joined A.C. Horn Co, a manufacturer of Specialty concrete and cementitious products, in 1989 as a West Coast Sales Manager. He maintained this managerial position through a merger with Tamms industries in 1993. Colin then joined Chemmasters in Cleveland, OH, in 1997 as the Director of Sales.
In 1999, Colin joined the Conspec Edoco team as a Regional Sales manager and continued through the Acquisition with Dayton Superior in 2000. Colin was then promoted to National Account and International Sales manager position in 2003 before joining the SpecChem team in September 2006.

Keith has 32 years of experience in the concrete construction and concrete repair and restoration industries.
Areas of focus have included: tilt-up construction, high rise structural shell construction, residential poured wall construction, shotcrete, DOT, ready-mixed concrete, vertical and horizontal coating systems, remedial waterproofing, and all types of concrete repair and restoration on old and new structures.
Before joining SpecChem, Keith served as Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager for The Euclid Chemical Company from 2004 to 2009. Prior to that, Keith was with Noxcrete from 1997 to 2004. Keith developed the East Coast as Eastern Regional Manager for Nox-Crete Products Group, managing sales from Maine to Florida.
Keith has had the opportunity to work with many contractors, architects, engineers and distributors throughout the East, and has gained extensive product knowledge from experience in the field as a result. He prides himself on problem solving and helping customers to select the right product for their particular challenge or application. He is committed to building and maintaining long term customer relationships based on shared success.
Keith earned a B.A. from Gettysburg College in 1990. During his career, he has been active in TCA, ConSteel, CFA, ASCC, ICRI, ASA, and various state ready mix and DOT contractor associations.

Tom Holliday, Western Regional Manager, earned a BS degree in Marketing and Finance from Arizona State University in 1987. Tom has had over 31 years of experience in the Commercial Construction Industry, starting his career with Black and Decker as a Retail Sales Specialist in Southern California in 1988. He’s held multiple roles of increasing responsibility in Sales, Marketing, Key and National Account Management and most recently, Region Vice President of Sales for DEWALT located in Southern California. Throughout his career he has supported major Brands such as Stanley, Black and Decker, Fat Max, Irwin, Lenox, Porter Cable and DEWALT, all within the Commercial Construction Industry.
Tom joined SpecChem in May of 2019 and will be working with the Western Regional Sales Team to support our distribution base while driving profitable growth through SpecChem’s arsenal of world class products and brands.

Charles has over 30 years of experience in the commercial concrete construction supply industry. Since his earliest days in the industry he has been involved in the sale of concrete construction chemicals including tilt-up products, repair and restoration, decorative coatings and forming and shoring products.
Charles started working in distribution at Texas Contractors Supply (now HD Supply White Cap) and learned all facets of concrete chemical specification and use. Later, as an account manager for Janell Concrete and Masonry, Inc and Triden Construction Supply (now HD Supply White Cap), Charles began to specialize in both repair and restoration product sales and tilt-up construction systems sales and service.
In 2004 Charles joined Nox-Crete Products Group as East Regional Sales Manager with responsibility for 17 states in the eastern US. From 2008 to 2011 he worked as head of Sales and Marketing for Tilt-Up Design Systems (now part of Dayton Superior), and from 2011 to 2013 as a Regional Manager for Meadow Burke. Since 2013, Charles has been the New England Area Sales Manager for ACO, Inc., a surface water products manufacturer related to concrete construction. He is also active in TCA and ACI, achieving the certification of Tilt-Up Technician in 2003 He has also worked with AIA and Con/Steel Tilt-Up Systems.
Charles has worked closely with distributors, contractors and design professionals in the field to formulate solutions and recommend products that are fit for purpose on the jobsite, with a strong emphasis on building close working relationships with these professionals to provide timely and cost-effective solutions for their projects.

Nick Carroll, Upper Midwest Sales Manager, earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas in 2011. He has worked for construction materials manufacturers since then, most recently with Advanced Drainage Systems as an Engineered Product Manager. Nick joined SpecChem in 2019 and is based out of the Chicago area. Troy Robinett has been in the Construction industry since 1987, and has spent many summers of his childhood helping his father in construction prior to that. Troy has built many tilt-up and parking structures in his 25+ years of industry experience. He has helped to build structures over 1 million sq. ft. in size and has managed crews for over 15 years.
Troy went to work for Rapid Set in 2006 and held a Regional Manager position for 8 years. Troy started working for SpecChem in July, 2015 where he holds a regional position for the Southwest.
He has been married for 19 years and they have 3 children together. He enjoys MMA and spending time with his family in his spare time.

Dillon McDonald has been in the construction supply industry for nearly ten years. During his years in construction supply, Dillon has worked and represented multiple facets in the industry (concrete construction, specialty aggregates and asphalt).
Dillon originally started in the construction supply industry with Quikrete in 2015 where he held multiple roles and titles over his five plus years with the company. Coming to SpecChem early in 2022, Dillon now covers DFW, Austin, San Antonio & Oklahoma for the central region.

Mickey Coyne operates out of the main Baltimore office in Kansas City helping with both outside and in-house sales. Mickey is a recent graduate of Washburn University and previously worked with SpecChem as an intern at the Richmond Plant. Alex Maday joined SpecChem in 2021. She earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Southern Methodist University, as well as a Master's in Business Management. Following graduation, Alex joined Dynamics Search Partners in New York City as a headhunter in the alternative investment space, where she focused on hedge fund and private equity placements. With more than 30 years of experience in construction and a background in chemistry, Dennis Salley, the Southwest Sales Manager of SpecChem, has become an industry expert.
He began working field level for various contractors after earning a degree in Construction Technology. In addition to his field background, he has more than 17 years of laboratory research and development experience. Those years were also spent developing relationships with many states’ Department of Transportation Section Chiefs.
His dynamic experience, combined with his chemistry background, has given Salley a valuable niche in this industry. He has traveled internationally and contributed technical consultation to high profile projects worldwide.
His technical experience includes training & educating local engineers and contractors about the installation and limitations of construction related chemicals, as well as sales support and trouble-shooting. Runways, highways, dams, bridges, tilt-up construction and building repairs are just a few of the jobs Salley has serviced domestically and abroad.
Salley started with Burke in 1980 and stayed through the many acquisitions that followed before joining SpecChem in June of 2007.

Max received his degree in Finance from the University of Missouri in May of 2022. Immediately upon graduation, he joined the Real Estate Development team at Chicken N Pickle, the fastest growing pickleball entertainment concept in the nation. He rapidly went from a real estate analyst to the lead of the Real Estate Team for CNP by the time of his exit from the industry in 2024. His interest in SpecChem began when Max spent several high school summers working in SpecChem’s manufacturing facilities and the laboratory. In 2024, Max officially joined SpecChem as a Regional Sales Associate. He enjoys working closely with distributors, contractors as well as architects and engineers to find solutions to the industry needs.
