High-solids water-based acrylic sealer

Aqua Shine is a high-solids, water-based, non-yellowing acrylic polymer engineered as a sealer specifically for exterior surfaces such as exposed aggregate, natural stone, brick, quarry tile, terrazzo, and other concrete surfaces. It is also suitable for interior applications. This non-yellowing, low-odor, durable sealer enhances the appearance of all treated surfaces with a satin gloss sheen.

  • Minimizes Efflorescence: Effectively reduces the occurrence of efflorescence.
  • Environmental Resistance: Protects against de-icing salts and acid rain.
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to a wide range of chemicals, oils, and abrasion.
  • UV Resistance: Will not yellow, even under extreme UV exposure.
  • Aggregate Binder: Acts as a binder to minimize aggregate pop-out.
  • VOC Compliant: Water-based formula complies with Federal VOC standards.
  • Versatile: Ideal for stamped, acid-stained or, integrally colored concrete, and exposed aggregate.

Application

  • Preparation: Ready to use without dilution. Apply when temperature is above 40°F and rising.
  • New Concrete/Exposed Aggregate: Apply uniformly with a sprayer or roller. For increased gloss, a second coat may be applied after 6-8 hours.
  • Existing Concrete: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of stains, oil, grease, and incompatible coatings. Apply as recommended, with special attention to smooth, dense surfaces for optimal results.

Packaging

Available in 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon pails, and 1-gallon cans (4 per case).

Shelf Life

Aqua Shine has a shelf life of two years in its original, tightly sealed containers.

Coverage

  • New or Existing Concrete: 200 – 400 sq ft/gal
  • Exposed Aggregate: 200 – 300 sq ft/gal
  • Brick, Stucco, etc.: 200 – 300 sq ft/gal

Test Data

  • VOC: < 100 g/L
  • Color: White (dries clear)
  • Drying Time: 4 hours
  • Flash Point: > 200°F

Standards

VOC Content: Less than 100 g/L, complying with ASTM C 1315 Type I, Class A.

Cleaning

Application equipment should be cleaned with water before the product dries. For dried product, xylene or approved solvents should be used.
