EZ Clean & Release
Multi-purpose form treatment
EZ Clean & Release is a highly reactive petroleum mixture ready for use. When applied to concrete forms with buildup, it softens hardened concrete, facilitating a “self-clean” process as the forms are stripped. This product is ideal for poured wall contractors as it allows for on-site cleaning of forms without downtime.
- Acts as both a cleaner and release agent, eliminating the need to remove forms from service.
- Reduces concrete buildup when applied immediately after form removal.
- Softens existing hardened concrete buildup for easy removal with a power washer.
- Less damaging to forms than sandblasting, acid cleaning, or scraping.
- Does not require aluminum forms to be re-seasoned after use.
Application
- Apply EZ Clean & Release directly to aluminum, steel, and wood forms with concrete buildup to soften and remove the buildup while providing an effective release.
- After cleaning, continue using SpecStrip or another SpecChem premium reactive release agent.
- For heavy scum or concrete buildup, apply a moderately heavy coat 24 hours before pouring. Repeat as necessary until the buildup is removed.
- Apply at rates of 1000-1500 sq ft per gallon for normal buildup, and 500-1000 sq ft per gallon for heavy buildup.
Packaging
Available in 275-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, and 5-gallon pails.
Shelf Life
Two years from the date of manufacture when stored in the original tightly closed container, free from water, dirt, or other contaminants.
