Max-A-Seal DP
Non-fibered emulsion coating & air/vapor barrier system
Max-A-Seal DP® is a Non-Fibered Emulsion Coating designed according to ASTM D1227, Type III specification. This asphalt emulsion coating is formulated to provide excellent damp-proofing and vapor barrier properties, making it suitable for various applications. It is available in fibered, non-fibered, and trowel-grade versions to suit different application needs.
- Suitable as a protective coating for asphalt, metal, wood, and masonry surfaces.
- Zero VOC content, making it environmentally friendly and compliant with ICF forms.
- 50% solids content, ensuring a robust application.
- Resists water penetration while allowing moisture vapor to escape.
Application
- Surface Preparation: Must be applied to a dry or damp surface free from foreign matter. Can be applied to “green” concrete.
- Application Rate: 40 ft²/gal for a 40 mil wet film or up to 100 ft²/gal, depending on the application.
- Double Coating: Recommended for tie seams.
- Equipment: Can be applied using a Graco GH833 Siphon Pump, 1/2” hose, Blue Texture Spray gun, and a GHD 661 Spray Tip, or comparable equipment. Remove the in-line filter when using.
- Temperature Conditions: Apply when surface and air temperatures are at 45° F and rising.
Packaging
- Available in 5 gallon pails (18.9 L), 55 gallon drums (208.2 L), and 275 gallon tote (1,041 L).
Shelf Life
- Shelf life is 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored in the original, tightly closed container.
- Do not store at temperatures exceeding 110°F.
