Pave Cure Rez White – TX Type II
High-solids white pigmented water-emulsified, resin-based concrete curing compound
Pave Cure REZ WHITE TX-TYPE II is a high-solids, water-based, resin-based white pigmented concrete curing compound that forms a continuous membrane to control curing for strong and durable concrete. This compound is designed to reflect the sun’s rays, helping keep concrete surfaces cooler and preventing excessive heat buildup. It meets the maximum VOC content limits of 350 g/L as required by the U.S. EPA Architectural Coatings Rule and is ideal for use on exterior, horizontal surfaces such as highways and airports.
- Moisture Retention: Reduces plastic shrinkage cracks by effectively retaining moisture during the curing process.
- Durability: Enhances the long-term durability of concrete by ensuring proper curing.
- Performance: Increases compressive strength and wear resistance, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications.
- High Reflectivity: Reflects over 60% of sunlight, reducing surface temperature and heat buildup.
- Environmental Compliance: VOC compliant, meeting strict environmental standards.
Application
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the concrete surface is clean and free from water before application.
- Application Method: Apply uniformly using a manual sprayer, power sprayer, or paving train at a coverage rate of 200 sq ft per gallon, ensuring no puddles form.
- Curing Time: The product should be applied as soon as the surface water has disappeared and the surface can withstand walking without being marred.
Packaging
- Available in 275-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, and 5-gallon pails.
Shelf Life
- Store in original tightly closed containers in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.
- Avoid freezing and excessive heat (over 100°F).
Standards
- ASTM Compliance: Meets ASTM C309, Type II, Class A & B, and AASHTO M148, Type II, Class A & B.
- Moisture Loss: Exhibits moisture loss well below the maximum allowable, ensuring effective curing.
- Approved Usage: Specifically approved for use in Texas and other regions requiring high standards for concrete curing compounds.
Cleaning
- Tools and equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use. For tougher residues, use SpecChem Solvent 100 or another appropriate cleaning solvent.
