Application

Underwater Repairs:

  • Prepare the area by wire brushing to remove loose or flaking material.
  • Undercut the repair area for maximum bond strength.
  • Mix Pool Patch with clean water to achieve a putty-like consistency.
  • Apply with a gloved hand, pressing into cracks or holes until it sets.

Above-Water Repairs:

  • Undercut and clean the substrate, ensuring a depth and width of at least 1 inch.
  • Remove contaminants like oil, grease, and dirt using industrial detergents.
  • Mix the product and apply with a trowel. Shape and smooth to match the surrounding surface.
  • Allow repaired areas to cure for at least 1 hour before covering with a cementitious coating.

Important Notes:

  • Do not apply to frozen surfaces or in temperatures below 35°F.
  • Avoid mixing more material than can be placed within 10 minutes.

Mixing Instructions

  • Mix 3 parts powder to 1 part clean, potable water.
  • Ensure the substrate is saturated surface dry (SSD) before application.
  • Prepare only small batches to ensure usability within the rapid set time.

Packaging

Available in:

  • 50-lb. bags for large-scale applications.
  • 5-gallon pails for smaller repairs.

Shelf Life

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
  • Tightly seal the package when not in use.
  • Shelf life is 12 months when properly stored. Rotate stock regularly.

Test Data

Compressive Strength (ASTM C109):

  • 1 Day: 1,400 psi
  • 7 Days: 3,500 psi
  • 28 Days: 6,400 psi

Yield/Density: A 50-lb. bag yields approximately 0.50 ft³.

Cleaning

  • Clean tools and mixing equipment with water immediately after use.
  • Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
