Application

Substrate Preparation

  • Ensure concrete is at least 28 days old and fully cured.
  • Clean the hole thoroughly, removing all particles and debris.
  • Water-scrub sides and bottom, then remove excess water to keep the hole uniformly damp.

Mixing and Application

  • For interior use: Mix 16 oz. of water per 5 pounds of POR-ROK® to achieve a smooth, flowable consistency. Adjust water slightly for a more plastic-like consistency if needed.
  • For exterior use: Apply regular POR-ROK® or Super Por-Rok® in environments with excessive water. Protect against water damage by shaping the material around the anchor to prevent water pooling.

Anchoring

  • Use an appropriate washer and insert the bolt with the head down.
  • After setting, options include topping with a cone of POR-ROK® or sealing with a rated exterior sealer after 7 days to ensure protection.
