Por-Rok Aqua Plug

Rapid setting cement based hydraulic cement

Por-Rok® Aqua Plug is a quick-setting hydraulic cement that sets in 3-5 minutes, designed to stop pressure leaks in concrete and masonry. It bonds both mechanically and chemically to saturated surfaces, making it ideal for:

  • Stopping streaming leaks in concrete
  • Anchoring bolts and rods
  • Sealing cracks and floor/wall junctions
  • Non-metallic, non-rusting
  • Fast setting and expands as it sets
  • Stops water leaks under pressure
  • Waterproof, chloride and metal free
  • Easily shaped to desired contour
  • Once set, resistant to hydrostatic pressure

Application

Surface Preparation: Undercut or enlarge holes and cracks slightly to allow for material embedment. Recommended dimensions are at least 0.75 inches wide and deep. Remove all loose dirt and aggregate, and ensure surfaces are saturated surface dry (SSD) prior to application.

Mixing and Application: Mix Por-Rok® Aqua Plug with clean, potable water to achieve a putty consistency. The water ratio should be 3 parts powder to 1 part water. Mix only small quantities at a time due to the rapid setting time.

Application Techniques:

  • Stopping Streaming Water: Begin at the top of the crack and firmly press the mixed material into the opening, applying pressure until the material sets and the leak stops.
  • Sealing Cracks and Floor/Wall Junctions: Firmly press Por-Rok® Aqua Plug into the crack or hole to form a cove at the floor and wall junction.
  • Anchoring Bolts or Rods: Drill or chisel a hole deep enough to securely hold the bolt or rod with at least ½ inch of space around. Insert the bolt, fill the space with Por-Rok® Aqua Plug, and smooth the surface, supporting the bolt until the material sets.
