Cure Shield EX

CureShield EX is a unique solvent-based blend of silane and non-yellowing acrylic copolymers designed to cure, seal, harden, and dustproof fresh concrete. It also provides additional protection against spalling and deterioration from de-icing salts, making it ideal for both fresh and existing concrete surfaces. This product is suitable for use with fugitive dye for DOT applications.

Coverage

  • Curing Fresh Concrete: 200 – 250 sq ft/gal.
  • Aged Concrete: 200 – 300 sq ft/gal.
  • Adjust coverage rate on broom or rough finished concrete due to increased surface area.

  • 5 gallon pails

Shelf Life

Shelf life of CureShield EX in the original tightly closed containers is two years from the date of manufacture. Do not allow the accumulation of water, dirt, or other contaminants.

Standards
  • Meets ASTM C309/1315, Type 1, Class A for curing.
  • CureShield EX meets VOC emission requirements for curing and sealing compounds (EPA limit < 350 g/L).
  • New Concrete: Apply after the surface water has evaporated and the surface can bear traffic without being marred. Apply uniformly without allowing the material to puddle.
  • Existing Concrete: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, or slightly damp, and free from oil, grease, dirt, and other contaminants. This application will refresh the concrete, making it brighter and easier to maintain.
