IntraFilm Concentrate

IntraFilm is a reactive colloidal silica finishing aid designed to lubricate freshly placed concrete, facilitating faster and easier finishing. It enhances workability under challenging conditions such as high temperatures, strong winds, or low humidity. The reactive silica component reacts during hydration to produce denser, more durable concrete slabs with reduced maintenance needs.

  • Extends the workability of the concrete surface in hot, humid, dry, and windy conditions.
  • Minimizes wear on trowels and equipment due to its lubricating properties.
  • Improves impact and abrasion resistance.
  • Helps maintain moisture in the slab, reducing curling and shrinkage.
  • Contains extremely low VOC content (<5 g/L),
  • Facilitates easier finishing with silica fume, Type 1L cement, and air-entrained concrete mixes.

Coverage

  • Evaporation Reducer/Finishing Aid: 500 to 1000 sq-ft/gal
  • Concrete Densifier: 250 to 500 square feet per gallon
  • Coverage rates are provided as a guideline only. Many factors including surface texture, porosity, and weather conditions will determine actual coverage rates.

Packaging

  • 55 gallon drums
  • 5 gallon pails
  • 1 gallon jugs

Shelf Life

Shelf life of INTRAFILM CONCENTRATE in the original tightly closed containers is two years from date of manufacture.

  • IntraFilm should be applied to fresh concrete before the commencement of screeding, floating, or troweling.
  • Use a clean, hand-pump, tank-type sprayer with a low-pressure tip for even distribution.
  • Mist the IntraFilm lightly over the entire surface, then proceed with concrete finishing techniques.
  • Reapply to any areas that begin to dry prematurely.

Mixing Instructions:

  • IntraFilm is supplied as a concentrate. Dilute by mixing one part concentrate with four parts clean, potable water.
  • Stir or shake vigorously before use to ensure consistency, especially after storage or shipping.
Composition and Materials A colloidal silica-based mineral dispersion in water
Viscosity at 77°F 80–85 KU
