SpecRez

SpecRez is a water-based, dissipating resin emulsion curing compound designed for newly finished horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces. It forms an effective curing membrane that dissipates with exposure to sunlight, weathering, or traffic, potentially contributing to LEED credits.

  • Ready-to-use for easy, one-step application.
  • Ensures stronger, more wear-resistant concrete through proper curing.
  • Water-based and VOC compliant, with actual VOCs less than 60 g/L.
  • Meets VOC content requirements for Concrete Curing Compounds (max 100 g/L).
  • Reduces dusting of concrete surfaces.
  • Compatible with most paints, sealers, coatings, and floor covering adhesives once dissipated.

Packaging

  • 55 gallon drums (208.2 L)
  • 5 gallon pails (18.9L)

Shelf Life

  • Shelf life of SpecRez in the original tightly closed container is 1 year from the date of manufacture. Do not allow the accumulation of water, dirt or other contaminants.

Standards

  • Formulated to comply with ASTM C309, Types 1 and 1D, Class A & B
  • AASHTO M148, Type 1, Class A & B
  • This product meets VOC contents for Concrete Curing Compounds with a maximum VOC content of 100 g/l.
  • Mix thoroughly before use. Ensure application equipment is clean and free from foreign materials.
  • Spray application is preferred. Apply in temperatures above 40°F.
  • Mask areas that require caulking. Avoid ponding or puddling. Coverage varies based on concrete texture and porosity.
  • Apply at a rate of 200-400 ft²/gal after final trowel or form removal.
  • Under normal conditions, chemical and physical breakdown will start in 4-6 weeks.
