SpecSilane 40
40% solids penetrating silane sealer
SpecSilane 40 is a 40% solids, 100% reactive, silane sealer. This clear, penetrating, breathable water repellent is designed for use on interior and exterior above-grade concrete or masonry surfaces. SpecSilane 40 penetrates the surface and bonds directly with the substrate, which results in a surface that is highly resistant to both moisture and salt. SpecSilane 40 helps protect concrete and masonry surfaces, decks, pavements, parking structures, ramps, bridges, marine platforms, etc. against the corrosive effects of de-icing salts, moisture, and weathering to prevent spalling and deterioration of concrete structures. VOC compliant.
- Provides excellent chloride screen
 - Excellent water repellency while maintaining breathability
 - Fast-drying in cooler temperature
 - Reduces the effects of freeze-thaw cycling and weathering on concrete structures
 - Long-lasting protections for new as well as old concrete surfaces
 - Dries tack-free and skid-resistant
 - Colorless and non-yellowing

                                    Application
- New Concrete: Should be well cured (28 days minimum) and free of all curing residues, dust, debris, oil, and other contaminants. Surfaces must be absorptive to allow penetration of the SpecSilane 40.
 - Application Method: Apply using a roller, brush, or low pressure sprayer at a rate determined by surface porosity:
- Porous surfaces: 100-125 ft²/gal
 - Broom finish: 100-150 ft²/gal
 - Smooth concrete: 150-200 ft²/gal

 - Old Concrete and Masonry: Remove any previously applied sealers and contaminants with pressure washing and SpecChem Citrus Cleaner or other appropriate cleaning measures.
