Surface Shine Brown
25% solids solvent-based cure & seal (ASTM C309 compliant)
Surface Shine Brown is a VOC compliant acrylic polymer designed to cure, seal, harden, and dustproof both freshly placed and aged concrete surfaces. It dries to a medium to light brown finish, enhancing the appearance of surfaces while improving their wearability and durability. This light brown pigmented acrylic sealer is formulated for fast drying and solvent-base performance, meeting environmental standards in the OTC/LADCO/MRPO regions.
Application
For New Concrete:
- Apply as soon as surface water has evaporated and the concrete can be worked without being marred. Apply uniformly. For enhanced curing and sealing protection, a second coat can be applied at 400 sq ft per gallon after the first coat has thoroughly dried.
For Existing Concrete:
- Surfaces must be clean, dry, or slightly damp, and free from all stains, oil, grease, dirt, and incompatible coatings. Application of Surface Shine Brown revitalizes existing concrete, brick, or terrazzo floors, making them brighter and easier to maintain.
Application Tips:
- Ready to use. Do not dilute. Best applied with a sprayer for uniform thin films. Two thin coats recommended, never a single heavy coat. Avoid puddles and adhere to recommended coverage rates.
Packaging
Available in 55-gallon drums and 5-gallon pails.
Shelf Life
Two years from the date of manufacture when stored in the original tightly closed containers. Avoid contamination by water, dirt, or other materials.
Coverage
- Curing: 300 – 400 sq ft per gallon
- Dustproofing and Sealing: 400 – 600 sq ft per gallon
- Aged Concrete: 400 – 600 sq ft per gallon
Standards
- Meets ASTM C-1315 and ASTM C 309, Type 1, Classes A & B.
- Meets V.O.C. emission requirements (EPA limit < 700 g/L) for curing and sealing compounds.
