Spec-O-Lith

Liquid fluosilicate hardener concentrate

Spec-O-Lith is a water-based fluorsilicate solution designed to harden and dustproof concrete floors, enhancing their resistance to abrasion and improving their wearing characteristics. It is effective in making surfaces more resistant to water, chemicals, grease, and oil. Spec-O-Lith is ideal for use in various environments including factories, warehouses, schools, hospitals, and food processing plants.

  • Enhanced Durability: Treats surfaces to become many times more abrasion-resistant than untreated concrete.
  • Chemical Resistance: Offers increased resistance to acids, alkalis, grease, and oil.
  • Non-Flammable and VOC Compliant: Safe for indoor use with an actual VOC content of 0g/l.
  • Versatile Application: Compatible with most conventional carpet and tile adhesives and does not leave a whitish blush typical of other sodium silicate products.

Application

  • Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oils, grease, and other residues that could impair absorption. For new concrete surfaces, wait a minimum of 14 days before applying.
  • Coverage Rates:
    • Extremely Dense/Hard Troweled Floors: Approximately 300 sq-ft per diluted gallon.
  • Application Method: Apply with low-pressure spray, squeegee, or push broom. Ensure even coverage to avoid puddling which can lead to white residues.
  • Drying Time: Typically 4 to 8 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Tools should be cleaned immediately with warm water to prevent residue build-up.

Packaging

  • Available in 55-gallon drums and 5-gallon plastic pails.
