SpecPoxy 1000

ASTM 881 compliant hi-mod low viscosity epoxy bonding adhesive

SpecPoxy 1000 is a two-component, low-viscosity, moisture-insensitive, high modulus, structural epoxy bonding adhesive and crack injection resin. This product is 100% solids, solvent-free, low odor, and high strength, ideal for bonding concrete, steel, and wood, gravity feed or pressure injection crack repairs, and anchoring bolts, dowels, and reinforcing bars.

  • VOC content of 0 grams per liter.
  • Suitable for bonding various materials and performing structural repairs.
  • Low viscosity ensures deep penetration for crack repairs.
  • ASTM C881 compliant for Types I, II, IV, and V, Grade 1, Classes B & C.

Application

Mixing Instructions:

  • Ensure air, material, and surface temperatures are above 40°F.
  • Precondition material to 75°F for easier mixing and application.
  • Mix two parts of component A to one part of component B by volume using a low-speed drill and Jiffy mixer for three minutes.

Surface Preparation:

  • Surfaces must be clean and structurally sound, free from oil, grease, dirt, laitance, curing compounds, and other foreign matter.
  • For pressure injection repairs, prepare surfaces adjacent to cracks to expose clean, sound concrete.

Crack Injection:

  • Use SpecPoxy 3000 FS to fasten injection ports and seal cracks.
  • Space injection ports approximately 6” to 24” apart, depending on the crack width and concrete thickness.

Bonding:

  • Apply SpecPoxy 1000 neat into the substrate using a brush or broom at 80 sq ft per gallon or approximately 20 mils in thickness. Ensure surface is tacky before placing fresh concrete; if not, reapply SpecPoxy 1000 after cleaning the surface.

Packaging

  • Available in 1 gallon units, 3 gallon units, 15 gallon units, and 15 oz. dual cartridges.

Shelf Life

  • Store in original, tightly closed containers in a clean, dry area. Do not allow accumulation of water, dirt, or other contaminants. Shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture.
