SpecPoxy Mortar
Epoxy mortar repair kit
SpecPoxy Mortar is a three-component, 100% solids, multi-purpose epoxy mortar designed for industrial and commercial applications such as warehouse floors, ramps, loading docks, and rebuilding joint nosings. This system combines a high-quality epoxy binder with an engineered blend of graded aggregates to provide superior trowel-ability, compressive and tensile strength, impact, and chemical resistance.
- Superior bond, compressive, and flexural strength compared to cementitious systems.
- Long pot life, suitable for applications between 60-90°F.
- Ideal for high-traffic areas like loading docks and ramps.
- Pre-measured proportions ensure easy installation.
- Dries to a light gray mortar color.
- Trowel-able consistency tailored for horizontal applications.
- Exceptional abrasion, chemical, and impact resistance.
- Moisture insensitive and stain resistant.
- Solvent-free and VOC compliant.
- Supports foot traffic in 12 hours; vehicle traffic in 24 hours.
- USDA accepted for indirect food contact.
Application
Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean and structurally sound, free from oil, grease, dirt, laitance, and other foreign matter. Preparation methods include sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or oil-free compressed air.
Mixing Instructions: Air, material, and surface temperatures must be between 50°F and 90°F. Precondition materials to 70°F for easier mixing. Mix Part A and Part B for 2-3 minutes, then gradually add Part C (aggregate) until all aggregates are coated with epoxy.
Placement: Apply the mixed epoxy mortar with a trowel or rake immediately after mixing. For enhanced texture and traction, broadcast additional dry sand into the wet mortar.
Packaging
- 1/2 cubic foot unit: Component A (1/2 gal), Component B (1/2 gal), Component C (1-50 lb. bag)
- 1.0 cubic foot unit: Component A (1 gal), Component B (1 gal), Component C (2–50 lb. bags)
Shelf Life
- Store in its original containers in a dry environment between 45-95°F.
- The shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture when properly stored.
