Surface Shine WB

High-solids water-based acrylic sealer (ASTM C1315 Class A)

Surface Shine WB is a high-solids, water-based, non-yellowing acrylic polymer engineered as a sealer for both exterior and interior concrete surfaces such as exposed aggregate, natural stone, brick, quarry tile, terrazzo, and others. This low-odor, durable sealer enhances the appearance with a high-gloss sheen and is water-based VOC compliant, offering protection against efflorescence, de-icing salts, acid rain, abrasion, chemicals, oils, and extreme UV exposure while minimizing aggregate pop-out.

  • Water-based
  • Beautifies and protects stamped concrete, acid stained concrete, integrally colored concrete, and exposed aggregate
  • VOC-compliant
  • Protects sealed surfaces from damaging effects of de-icing salts and acid rain
  • Minimizes efflorescence
  • Provides resistance to abrasion and a wide range of chemicals and oils
  • Will not yellow under extreme UV exposure
  • Acts as a binder to minimize aggregate pop-out

Application

Surface Preparation

  • The concrete surface must be clean and free of standing water, sealer, or any material that may prevent adhesion.

For New Concrete or Exposed Aggregate

  • Apply with a sprayer or roller in uniform thin films at a rate of 350-400 sq ft per gallon. For best results, spray apply. Only one coat is required to cure, seal, beautify, and protect, though for increased gloss, a second coat may be applied after the first has thoroughly dried (typically 6-8 hours).

For Existing Concrete

  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, or slightly damp and free of stains, oil, grease, dirt, and incompatible coatings. For smooth, dense surfaces, light buffing and the use of a microfiber applicator are recommended to achieve the best results.

Packaging

Available in 55 gallon drums and 5 gallon pails.

Shelf Life

One year from the date of manufacture when stored in the original tightly closed containers. Avoid freezing and contamination from water, dirt, or other materials.

Coverage

  • Concrete: 200 – 400 sq ft per gallon
  • Exposed aggregate: 200 – 300 sq ft per gallon
  • Brick, stucco, etc.: 200 – 300 sq ft per gallon
  • Coverage may vary depending on the porosity and condition of the concrete.

Standards

  • Meets ASTM C1315, Type I, Class A standards.
  • VOC Content: Less than 100 g/L, compliant with federal VOC standards for curing and sealing compounds.

Cleaning

Application equipment should be cleaned with water if the product has not dried. For dried product, use xylene or other approved solvents.
