Versa Etch
Architectural concrete surface retarder
Versa Etch is a state-of-the-art, water-based concrete surface retarder designed to expose aggregate in freshly placed concrete without the need for plastic covering. It is available in seven standard depths of etch, suitable for a range of decorative applications from a very light acid wash to 5/8” deep.

                                    Application
- Preparation: Ensure surrounding surfaces are protected from overspray. Concrete should be floated, screeded, or troweled level, optionally with additional aggregate for texture.
 - Application: Spray Versa Etch evenly once surface water has disappeared. Typical coverage is 200-300 square feet per gallon.
 - Setting and Removal: Allow to cure for 6 to 24 hours depending on conditions. Remove by flushing with a hose and stiff broom or a pressure washer.
 - Finish: Seal with SpecChem Crystal Shine, DecoShine, or Aqua Shine to enhance the exposed aggregate’s beauty.
 
Packaging
Versa Etch is packaged in 5-gallon pails.
Shelf Life
- Shelf Life: Two years from date of manufacture when stored in properly sealed containers.
 - Storage Precautions: Protect from freezing.
