7 Properties of a Good Form Release Agent

A good form release agent is one that provides a uniform, clean and effective release of the concrete formwork. The ideal form release agent should have the following properties:

  1. Good Lubrication: A form release agent should provide enough lubrication to allow the concrete to easily release from the formwork.
  2. Non-Staining: A good form release agent should not leave any residue on the surface of the concrete, which could cause discoloration or staining.
  3.  Long-lasting: A good form release agent should provide a durable release that lasts for the life of the concrete.
  4. Non-Toxic: A form release agent should not pose any health or environmental hazards and should be non-toxic.
  5. Cost-effective: A good form release agent should offer good value for the money and should not be too expensive.
  6. Easy to Apply: A form release agent should be easy to apply and should not require special equipment or a lot of time to apply.
