Lithium silicate concrete sealer/densifier

LithSeal SC is a premium lithium silicate sealer/ densifier/hardener for concrete surfaces. LithSeal SC deeply penetrates and reacts with cured concrete. This reaction produces a calcium silicate hydrate within the concrete pores. Treated surfaces will remain breathable reduce porosity, reduce dusting, reduce water permeability and increase abrasion resistance. When properly applied, LithSeal SC will not leave the whitish blush characteristic of other sodium silicate products.

Application

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure cleanliness: Surface must be free of cures, bond breakers, oil, dirt, grease, or debris.
  • Cleaning: Use SpecChem Orange Peel citrus cleaner followed by a neutral pH detergent and a thorough water flush.

Mixing and Application

  • Mixing: No mixing required.
  • Application: Apply with a low-pressure sprayer and a fan tip.
    • Spread uniformly with a soft broom or microfiber applicator.
    • Keep the surface wet for 15-20 minutes.

Placement Procedure

  • Material application: Saturate the surface, addressing porous areas that dry quickly.
  • Excess material removal: After drying, remove any powdery residue with a stiff broom, power sweeper, or floor scrubbing machine.

Finishing/Curing

  • Curing: LithSeal SC is fast-curing and ready for traffic within one hour.
  • Final shine enhancement: Achieve by buffing or burnishing with specific cleaning pads.

Packaging

Packaged in 275 gallon totes, 55 gallon drums, and 5 gallon pails.

Shelf Life

Shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture in tightly closed containers.

  • Fresh, Uncured, Burnished Concrete: 800-1000 ft²/gal
  • Existing Steel Troweled Concrete: 400-500 ft²/gal
  • Existing Float Finished Concrete: 250-350 ft²/gal
