Self-Leveling Polishable Concrete Topping With Aggregate
SpecLevel PCT-AGG is a premium, cement-based, self-leveling, and polishable concrete topping, uniquely pre-extended with special aggregates to achieve a natural architectural concrete finish. Engineered for ease of use and versatility, it delivers a dense, hard surface that can be diamond polished in just 24 hours, drying to a light concrete gray that beautifully accepts integral colors or stains.
- When mixed according to instructions, provides a self-leveling wear topping with a 20-minute flow time at 70°F.
- No troweling required; self-leveling and pumpable for ease of application.

- Suitable for application in thicknesses from 3/8” to 1.5”, extendable up to 5” with additional pea gravel for deeper applications.

Application
Surface Preparation
- Ensure cleanliness: Remove all contaminants, including oils, curing compounds, and loose materials.
- Surface profiling: Concrete substrates should be profiled to a minimum CSP #4, with shot blasting preferred.
Mixing and Application
- Mixing:
- Use 7.0-7.5 pints of water per 50-pound bag for standard consistency.
- Adjust water for desired flow characteristics.
- Application:
- Pour or pump the mixture over the prepared substrate.
- Spread using a long-handled spreader or gauge rake.
- The material self-levels; no troweling is necessary.
Placement Procedure
- Pumping: Can be pumped using an appropriate grout pump; ensure material levels itself during the first 20 minutes at 70°F.
Finishing/Curing
- Foot traffic: Accepts foot traffic within 2-4 hours, depending on conditions.
- Polishing: Can be diamond polished within 24 hours of application.
Shelf Life
Unopened bags have a shelf life of 12 months when stored in suitable conditions, away from excessive humidity and temperature fluctuations.
Test Data
- Achieves an initial set in 60 minutes with a final set by 100 minutes at 70°F.
- Compressive strength ranges from 4000 psi in 1 day to 7200 psi by 28 days, demonstrating excellent durability.
- Exhibits significant bond and flexural strength, ensuring a sturdy, lasting repair.
