Epoxy Cure Accelerator

SpecPoxy Accelerator is a special additive designed to accelerate the cure rate of certain SpecChem epoxy systems, thereby reducing installation times for SpecChem Overlay systems. This accelerator enables epoxy applications even under lower temperatures, enhancing versatility in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

  • SPECPOXY 500/1000/2000/BINDER
  • SPECPOXY MORTAR
  • Low viscosity, making it easy to mix and apply.
  • Fast setting, significantly minimizes waiting time.
  • Compatible without compromising the integrity of SpecChem epoxy systems.
  • Accelerates cure of treated epoxy coatings at low temperatures, reducing cure and recoat times by as much as 50%.

Application

  • Adding SpecPoxy Accelerator increases the cure time and reduces the working time of the system.
  • The quantity of Accelerator added must not exceed the recommended amount. After mixing in the accelerator, the application must be completed within the shortened working time.

Directions for Use

  1. Add up to 1 quart of SpecPoxy Accelerator to the Part B component and mix thoroughly.
  2. Then mix the Part A and Part B components together per the technical data sheet.
  3. After proper mixing, immediately pour the material onto the prepared substrate or area to be grouted or repaired.
  4. Clean tools immediately after use with SpecChem Solvent 100 or Orange Peel. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

Packaging

  • Available in quart cans (12 quarts per case).

Shelf Life

  • Store in a cool, dry environment in the original packaging.
  • Shelf life of 24 months at recommended storage temperatures of 45°F – 90°F.
